Generalist Adviser

Citizens Advice Rutland are looking for an adviser to help our busy team deliver advice services across the county. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and will be able to work collaboratively in a  high pressure environment.

Working 22.5 hours a week, you’ll play a key role in delivering high quality advice to support people in our community. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll work directly with clients to understand their needs, provide accurate information and guidance, and help them navigate a range of issues.

You’ll maintain clear and up-to-date client records, and ensure all work meets required quality standards. You’ll also work closely with colleagues and partner organisations, contributing to a supportive team environment and helping to improve outcomes for those we help.

Strong communication and listening skills, the ability to manage a varied workload, and a commitment to confidentiality and equality are essential. Experience in advice work or a background in areas such as welfare benefits, housing or debt is an advantage.

Salary: £31,049.23 per annum pro rata. (£18,629.54 per annum actual). 

Please note a reduced salary may apply for candidates who are not yet fully trained advisers.
